La producción correrá a cargo de Jose Garrido y Daniel Melián, como ya hicieron con nuestro anterior EP "The Comeback". Este disco será el primero que saldrá a através de nuestra compañía discográfica XY Records. Next Monday, July 7th 2008, we're starting the recording of our second LP at New Life Studios in Madrid, engineered by Jose Garrido and Daniel Melián once again, as done in the band's last EP "The Comeback". This record will be the first release with our new label XY Records. Go to the downloads section. 21 de Abril de 2008 – Comunicado de la banda · April 21 2008 – Band´s statement Después de muchas deliberaciones, los 4 miembros de Gauntlet han decidido seguir adelante descartando la búsqueda de un vocalista, pasando a ocupar Miguel Rocha (uno de sus guitarras) este puesto. Hay que recordar que no es la primera vez que esto sucede, ya que en 2004 ya se ocupó de las labores de frontman durante unos meses y con carácter provisional. Pero la situación ahora es distinta; esta formación no se plantea como una solución de urgencia, sino como un paso más en la carrera de este grupo madrileño. Miguel Rocha (Voz y guitarra), Daniel Millán (Guitarra y coros), Santiago García (Bajo y coros) y Alejandro Martínez (Batería y onomatopeyas varias) conforman lo que es la formación más estable, cohesionada y, por qué no decirlo, mejor a día de hoy. Es por ello que Gauntlet comenzarán a grabar en julio lo que será su segundo álbum, si tenemos en cuenta el autoproducido “Path Of Nails” (2005) y el EP “The Comeback” (2007).El nuevo disco verá la luz en otoño, editado por la discográfica por la que han fichado recientemente: XY Records. Recordar también que la nueva formación afrontará su primer reto participando en las semifinales del prestigioso concurso Villa de Bilbao el día 14 de mayo. After several deliberations, the four members of Gauntlet have decided to go on ruling out the quest of a vocalist, and consequently Miguel Rocha (one of the guitar players) will join that place. Bear in mind that this is not the first time that it happens, because in 2004 he provisionally became the frontman for some months.However, the situation is different now; this line up does not meant to be as an emergency measure, but a step forward in the career of the band. Miguel Rocha (Vocals, guitar), Daniel Millán (Guitar, backing vocals), Santiago García (Bass, backing vocals) and Alejandro Martínez (Drums and other weird tiny noises) make up the stablest, most united, and why not to call it better line up nowadays. Therefore, Gauntlet are starting to record their second album in July, after the self released “Path Of Nails” (2005) and the EP “The Comeback” (2007). La ruptura ha sido amigable, así que queremos desearle lo mejor… Pero la maquinaria de Gauntlet no puede permitirse ni un descanso, así que, desde este momento, estamos buscando un vocalista capaz de estar al frente de esta banda. Ivo Galenov, our frontman, has decided to leave Gauntlet due to personal reasons, that have nothing to do with the band. The break-up has been friendly, so we just want to wish him the best… But Gauntlet machinery can´t afford to stop, so, from this moment, we are looking for a singer who is capable to front this band. 13 de Febrero de 2008 – ¡Nuevos conciertos y Villa de Bilbao! · February 13^th – New show dates and european contest! El próximo 23 de Febrero participaremos en un festival en la localidad madrileña de Colmenar Viejo. ¡Y el 14 de Mayo Gauntlet ha sido seleccionada para participar en la segunda fase del prestigioso concurso europeo Villa de Bilbao! Next Saturday, February 23^rd, we'll be playing at Colmenar Viejo Bullring (Madrid). And Gauntlet has been selected to take part in the second round of Villa de Bilbao European Contest!
